Greetings from the Big Apple! I’ve been silent for a week because I was frantically making preparations for my third season at New York Fashion Week. I really can’t complain, although it takes work to send in RSVPs, organize a packed Fashion Week calendar, and, obviously, pack!
I’m now settled in New York City, and attended three shows today: ADAM, Christian Siriano, and Ivy H. (details forthcoming). But I’ve got two and a half more jam-packed days of shows and appointments, including:
Adrienne Vittadini
Badgley Mischka
Carlos Miele
Carmen Marc Valvo
Jill Stuart
Lela Rose
Rad Hourani
Rebecca Taylor
Reem Acra
Thuy
Tony Cohen
Without a car and driver and a front-row seat with your name on it, the typical fashion reporter covers about half of their Fashion Week schedule but I’ll do my best to bring you as much of the action from New York as I can! Drop a note in the comments if you want to see anything in particular. And even when I’m back in D.C., I’ll be sure to bring you my thoughts on all the Spring 2010 collections from around the world, as well as in-depth analysis of what you should buy now for Fall/Winter 2009. (After all, I was oddly rejected for D.C. Fashion Week press credentials, but you’re much more interested in New York Fashion Week, right?)
P.S. Don’t forget to follow me on Twitter, @SamanthaonStyle, for up-to-the-minute updates from the shows!
