I’m Samantha, and this is my own Style section.

By day, I work for a political magazine. (My cubicle contains Michael Barone’s Almanac of American Politics and old issues of Vogue.) By night, I crash parties, study Gossip Girl and gossip blogs, and devour all things fashion. After I covered New York Fashion Week in September, I decided to write more about fashion and events. Combine a love of writing with an obsession with fashion, add nearly two years of professional magazine work, and voila! a blog is born.

What can you expect?

What’s on the runways and can you wear it in D.C.? What on earth was that politico wearing? Who was spotted at the inaugural balls and parties? The White House Correspondents’ Dinner? (And yes, who were they wearing?) What’s hot and what’s not in Washington? Will Chuck and Blair ever get together once and for all?

If all goes well, Samantha on Style will, in fact, be better than the Style section.
