If you’re a teeny bit afraid of looking too fashion-forward at work, Elie Tahari is a good alternative to the generic Ann Taylors and Brooks Brothers of the world. While guests mingled and drank champagne in a gallery a hop away from Bryant Park on Monday evening, the Tahari Fall ’09 women’s and men’s collections were presented in a continuous runway show.
The looks for women vary from fall-appropriate tweed jackets to spring-like floral dresses. I love this crisp, tailored tweed jacket with skinny black pants and booties:
